Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so nice. The older I get, the more I like it. As you can tell, Sadie was a camera girl. She always would smile for me. I had the hardest time getting a decent picture of Bailee. That's why their are not a lot of her. In the picture with Grandma, Bailee is wearing a pillow case dress that Grandma made for her. It has cute leggings and a turtle neck that goes with it. All the grandkids got those cute little outfits as a present. I thought they looked so cute. Sadie also decided that she wanted to be wherever poppy was. It was so cute. He is so good to our family! And, that's the best picture we could get as a family. Ah, I wish that little Bailee girl would have smiled:)

Good times

These are some pictures of the girls at the cabin, and with their cute uncles. Wilson was so excited that Sadie would actually let him hold her. And Campbell "uncle camel" had a good time making bailee's fro even bigger. Don't they look alike? And that picture of Sadie in those pants was so cute, I had to just post it.

The toddler

Bailee is so funny lately. She is really into painting her body lately. And, she is also starting to play make believe. She wants me and Sadie to get our purses so that we all can go shopping together. Bailee is the mom. She takes such good care of her baby. Bailee is always "come on mommy, lets go shopping."

The Baby

Our little one is growing up and full of personality and lots of attitude. She is changing really fast, and it amazes me how smart little kids are. She makes me laugh. The other day I found her in her room reading a book to her self. So cute! She also loves going to the park, especially down the slide. All of a sudden she is a huge daddy's girl, which makes Jake very happy. When he comes home from work both the kids are hanging on his legs begging for his love and attention. He is so cute with them. Sadie is also a camera girl at home. She will say cheese when I take the camera out. As you can see, she has some cute teeth. Well many more are trying to break through, which means I am getting up multiple times a night again. I keep saying to myself "maybe next year will be my year to sleep." And lastly, it is sure fun to get girls dressed up in cute dresses. They always look so girly...I adore that!

Disney on Ice

A week ago Bailee and I went to disney on ice together. It was so much fun to do something one on one with Bailee. She loved it! Infact, she was the loudest child there. It's the worst when people give you that look "control your child." Bailee definitely has a mind of her own, and get excited over everything. She would clap and say yay after each performance. She also looked so adorable that day. My mother in law made that tutu for her. Also, when we were leaving, Bailee threw a huge fit in the middle of the cross walk in front of a ton of cars waiting for us to move. She was laying their kicking and screaming because she didn't want to leave. I then got the look "oh that poor mother." Oh well, I try:)

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Parties

We had a lot of fun going to lots of parties this year. But dressing up once was enough for me. I think the girls had fun this year, especially Bailee. She would say "trick or treat" so cute. It is fun watching them grow up, and it is even more fun when they really enjoy each holiday. Don't you love Jake's mullet:)

Daddy's girls!!

The girls are always so happy when they are with their dad. They also look just like him. Lucky girls! Oh, and thanks to my sweet sister Anne for the adorable dresses. She is always doing the nicest things for our girls:)

Bailee's new BFF

A couple of weeks ago, I babysat this cute little girl Kamri. As you can see, they hit is off pretty well. They loved each other. Kamri wanted to hug, dance, and kiss her. They were so hilarious together!

Larsen Family Fundraiser

Most of you know Daryl and Ashley Larsen. For those of you who don't, they are a young couple here in Perry, who just lost their baby to a rare lung disorder. Their loss is truly a tragedy. They are now experiencing the beginnings of what will be a land slide of medical bills. In an effort to aide them, there will be a one day fundraiser at the Maddox Steak House. On November 5, you can call Maddox at 723-2916 and order the Turkey Steak dinner. You can choose the 2 or 4 family meal at the regular price. All proceeds will then be donated to the Larsen family. You do need to remember to mention the Larsen family name when ordering. You can then pick up your meal at the take out window in the back of Maddox. It will be for lunch and dinner. Please spread the word.
Feel free to copy and paste this post on your blog.

The Girlies!

So Sadie has finally started to "really" walk. Not just taking steps here and there anymore. She decided she was ready to start walking everywhere last week. It has been so nice. It is making life so much easier for me because she is more entertained. It is easier to go outside because she just walks around. It is also more fun to go to the park

because she can move around. I decided that since life is getting a little easier (knock on wood), I would try to get my girls on a better schedule. I feel like kids these days have to be so smart. And everywhere I turn tiny kids know the color of their shirts, abc's, ect. It was starting to make me feel like such a bad mom because Bailee hasn't a clue what the color of her shirt is. So, I decided each morning we would start having "school." I call it that so that Bailee would get excited. So far, it has been so much fun. Bailee goes and gets her hot pink tote with all of her fun school stuff and is ready to start. The first color I taught her was green. However, she thinks that everything is the color green. We will have to keep working on that:) Other than that, the girls have been great. I love the picture of them looking out the window. They always stand by the window to see the garbage truck, dogs, cats, the train, or basically anything that is moving outside. It is one free moment that I have to get some stuff done!

From 2 to 4

It's so crazy how we have gone from just the two of us to the four of us in 2 years. It's always fun for me to look back and see how we have changed as a family. I even look older...aahhh!

Some "firsts"

So there have been a lot of first time things going on at our house. The number one most exciting first thing that occurred last week, was Sadie beginning to sleep through the night. That's right, she has not slept longer than a few hours at a time until last monday. Now, she will sleep all night long. HALLELUJAH!! Finally after 2 years I can get a good nights rest:) Sadie also took her first steps on September 18th. She is taking more and more steps each day. So that is exciting news for her. Bailee also just moved from a crib to a big girl bed. I was so excited when my mom said that Bailee could have my bedroom set from when I was little. That just makes her room all the more special to me. Bailee is so funny though, she will walk to the basement and make her self a little bed in the middle of the night. Weird child! The girls also got to go the county fair for the first time. Jake was so excited to bring them there, it was hilarious. You can't see, but we got Bailee some cute pink cowboy boots. She had so much fun saying hi to everyone, especially the animals. Lastly, I took the girls up to Bear Lake where my parents are building a cabin. They had so much fun playing in the water and eating sand. It is so fun to see the girls experience things for the first time. They are sure growing up, and my life is beginning to get easier each day!
