October...best time of the year.

It has been a month since I have posted anything on here and my goal was to try to get something done every couple of weeks. I guess as the saying goes, better late than never. We have had another busy month. We are so glad that fall is finally here!

The leaves have been absolutely incredible.

Labor Day Festivities / Sadie Sue's Birthday

It has been a busy couple of weeks. We spent some time in Island Park, ID for Labor Day and Sadie's 3rd Birthday. We took the kiddos to Yellowstone and spent a lot of time down by the river below the cabin. The weather was phenomenal all weekend. It definitely felt like fall was here to stay. Mother nature apparently is having a hard time making up her mind because it has been near 90 all week in Utah. She may want to get her prescription checked as her hormone levels may be "off". ;-). We spent a little time chasing the trout around, but they proved to be pretty finicky. Spent one morning out on Henry's Lake with Grandpa P. He caught one fish, but Cade and I were left wanting as we did not touch one all morning. Sadie had a great Birthday and is at the most adorable stage. She is so thrilled and over dramatic about everything she received. Can't wait for more fall weather and college football.

We found a couple over on the Madison and Cade fooled this pudgy rainbow.

Pam and Bailee at Artist Point in Yellowstone. Pam was a nervous wreck with the height of some of the cliffs, but the girls thought it was great.

Bailee Ann - 4 Years Old

Frustrated Princess

20100806-_CRS8571

Hard to believe that the kidlets are already 3 and 4. We have had a busy couple of weeks, but we are trying to keep summer going just a few more days. Bailee turned three in August and we celebrated with some Tinkerbell festivities. She had a few friends over and was absolutely thrilled with her cake. She is at an adorable age and is saying the funniest things lately.

Bailee after standing up in her chair while eating and subsequently spilling her drink all over:

Bailee's sayings as of late.

Bailee: "I love you mom and dad".
Me: "Love you too Bailee, now sit down"

Bailee: "It is hard to be a big sister sometimes"

Bath time before church

The kids have a love hate relationship with the bathtub at the present time. Bailee constantly bothers Sadie by kicking her and splashing. I know, heaven forbid someone gets wet in the tub! They usually will play well for about 4 seconds before the fighting begins, at which point we quickly wash and scrub and then get one of them out there. Bailee usually likes to be the first one out and then proceeds to tell me what a "nice" girl she is. This pic was snapped right after she said "I am such a good girl, huh daddy?" She is something else.

Summer days are getting shorter. We were playing out on the lawn relaxing and Sadie was being a little photogenic.

This is a classic picture of Sadie. She is so goofy and always has the strangest mood swings, must take after her mother.

Beautiful Sun Valley

Those are all of the Grand kids! I am not sure where Jake took the other pic..but it sure looks pretty! He has been practicing taking good pictures lately and is doing a really good job:)

Grandma and Grandpa Parson

Aren't they the cutest Grandparents? They are so sweet and we really love and appreciate all that they do for our family.

Dresses

Dottie always makes the girls darling clothes each year for sun valley. These dresses are so darling and took her a long time to make!

Parson Family

Sun Valley 2010

We had such a great time in Sun Valley! Jake's Grandma and Grandpa Parson take the whole family there each summer for a week! I think it is a great tradition that they started so long ago. This year we stayed in a condo with Jake's sister Anne and her cute family. There was a lot of drama with 4 girls under the age of 5 staying in the same place together. They had so much fun riding bikes, swimming, seeing the swans, singing Hannah Montana and Justin Bieber songs, going to the candy store many times a day, ice skating, going on stroller rides, and playing with all the older cousins. Jake enjoyed a couple rounds of golf, volleyball, and hanging with his brothers playing the wii. I got to go to a nice luncheon with all the girls and we had 2 bridal showers while we were up there. It was fun to spend time with the whole Parson side.

Where have we been???

So I quit blogging when my kids decided that they were no longer content just hanging out and watching movies and playing with their toys. Now when my kids wake up, the first question asked is "What are we doing today and where are we going?" I really wish they liked to hang out at home as much as I do. But, they usually win and we are off doing something every single day. That is why it is extremely hard to reach me on my phone..and I am positive it annoys most of you that I keep in contact with. However, it has been a really good year since I last blogged. First off, Bailee mailed her binkie to the horses so that she could go to Preschool. Yes I let her have it way too long! Anywho, she was ready and it was a good experience for her. Bailee started preschool last fall and absolutely loved it! She loved making new friends and really caught onto things quickly. She loved picking out her outfit before school, putting on her Dora backpack, getting her hair done just right, and making sure she had her lipgloss and perfume on before she left the house. It was hilarious! Just so Sadie didn't feel left out, she too put on her Dora backpack and walked Bai to school in the morning. While Bailee was gone, Sadie spent time teaching her dolls preschool. It was hilarious because she would line up all her babies against the wall and read to them and even put them in time out if they misbehaved. She has quite the imagination. After Christmas, Jake spent a week at home and took Sadie's binkie away. Yay, no more binkies at our house! I knew they were getting to old to have them, but I felt so bad taking them away. I am a huge pushover. After that we decided we were going to put our house of for sale again. This time we were going to find a lot and build. We found one in Pleasant View and we will wait to build when this house sells. We are really excited! And then before we knew it, it was Bailee's preschool program. It was darling. They showed a video of all the kids answering questions. They asked Bailee who the first president of the United States was and she said "Um..Mommy Pammy?" She was so funny and so proud of all that she learned that year. After her program, we headed to Disneyland. The girls had so much fun this year because they were a little older. The also got invited to dance on stage with the Princess and the Frog and they were thrilled! Sadie said one of her favorite rides was going on the shuttle bus to Dland. What a funny child. Well, our summer has been really good so far. We have spent alot of time in Bear lake at my parents cabin, and now we head to Sun Valley next week. I will post pics very soon!!!
